Trogerism is just my name, paired with the ism that drives me. It’s the idea that every photo I take is a slice of my own experience, even when I’m the one standing behind the lens and staying out of the frame.
I spent 8 years traveling around the country for work, and when COVID began in 2020, I started using my phone to document the places I encountered. That period of constant movement became my training ground, I learned to adapt quickly to new environments, whether coastal landscapes, quiet towns, or the intensity of city centers. I am no longer traveling for work, but those years of movement deeply shaped how I see the world today. Around 2023, I began using my first Canon camera, and I have been using Canon ever since to refine my craft.
I usually lean into black and white because it gets straight to the point, cutting through the clutter to focus on real emotion and the geometry of what’s in front of me. I don’t sit around waiting for a shot to happen, I’m out there moving through the environment, catching people and places exactly as they are. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s about capturing a genuine narrative of the world as I see it, one frame at a time.
